Thank you, Abby. I so appreciate your candor about being an author and how the choices of what not to do when creativity overrides family or friends. Your "Truth #1: The people you love need you." and "Truth #2: You need something that isn’t them" resonate.

My husband is the one who often gets sidelined, and he does not deserve that. He supports me in so m any ways from cooking most dinner to shoring me up when I lose confidence. I hope you and your husband recover quickly from your sinus infection.

I love the photo of you reading to your children. All the best! Beth

Thank you Abby! This hits so very close to home. I've felt for a long time that all the creative and creating women need to band together to amplify this story and how the 'do it all' does not exist for most of us. So why is this still so widely upheld as something to strive for in our society? Many possible answers to this question. I for one am tired and so wish there would be a different story accepted as the common truth - one that has us all move at Earth speed and one that does not fill our and our kids' calendar to the brim with to-dos and activities.

Anyway, it feels good to read your honesty and know I'm not alone.
